Meridian Waste Acquires Two C&D Landfills in Knoxville

Company Enters the Tennessee Market with the Only High Capacity Landfills in the Region

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 21, 2018) – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced its asset acquisition of two construction and demolition landfills located in Knoxville, Tenn. today. Poplar View Landfill, located at 1730 McMillan Station Rd., and Riverside Landfill, located at 3330 Delrose Dr., have easy access to downtown, major highways and area construction projects.

Poplar View Landfill and Riverside Landfill accept the following waste types: appliances (without compressors), asphalt, cardboard, common construction material, dirt, rock, concrete, furniture, metal, paper, shingles, roofing materials, wiring, brush and other landscaping waste, carpet, flooring, drywall, insulation, non-friable asbestos, plastic and wood.

Poplar View Landfill is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. Riverside Landfill’s hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers include municipalities and private waste haulers.
